Daily Concerns

Lord, provide for Calvin and Lisa in their daily need of:

Forgiveness of sin along with purity of heart and mind
Protection from the evil one and from all spiritual attacks
Physical health and safety
Strength in their marriage and ability to communicate in love and understanding

Day by Day Prayer Focus

Monday - Lord, guide and empower the work of this ministry.

Tuesday - Father, open doors of opportunity to spread the message of Living for God.

Wednesday - Jesus, provide sufficient financial support for this work.

Thursday - Holy Spirit, let Calvin and Lisa sense God's presence and hear his voice.

Friday - Father, renew Calvin and Lisa in your creative power.

Saturday - Jesus, lead Calvin and Lisa into quiet and refreshing times together.

Sunday - Holy Spirit, guide Calvin and Lisa into the Lord's Day rest.

Special Concerns and Events

Ongoing

For divine inspiration and guidance on their writing projects, especially the book, "Living for God in a World that Doesn't," and Lisa's devotional book, "Ransomed by God."
That Calvin and Lisa will find favor with people who can help with their publishing projects.
That the Lord will attract visitors to the Living for God website and blog by his Holy Spirit.
That Calvin will hear the Holy Spirit as he works with those under his spiritual direction.

All of January

For Lisa as she puts the finishing touches on a major re-design of the web site. The new site will go online in the latter part of the month as the newsletter goes out. This is being done to enhance our appeal to young people and bring them into a desire for Christlikeness.

Week of 1/7/08

For Adam, Calvin's son who is visiting from California, that he will be blessed during his time in Colorado.
For Lisa as she prepares to give a sermon Sunday the 13th at First Friends Church.

Week of 1/15/08

That the Holy Spirit will move upon the first meeting of the Colorado Springs Spiritual Formation Network this Tuesday and that Calvin would be granted grace as he facilitates this gathering.
For Lisa as she meets on Saturday with a friend who is a former book editor that Lisa will receive valuable guidance as she nears completion of the writing phase of her devotional book.

Week of 1/21/08

For Calvin to find favor and renewal at a pastor's retreat this Thursday and Friday.

Week of 1/28/08

For the preparation and mailing of our paper newsletter and that many individuals and pastors would be blessed.

Thanks and Praise

For our many ministry friends who responded so generously to our year-end appeal.
For a successful December meeting of the Living for God Board of Directors as we charted the course for the coming ministry year.
To Kim McCauley as she nears the end of her four year service on the board. She has been an invaluable member of the team and we will miss her enthusiasm and quick wit.
To Susan Riches of NavPress who is preparing to take Kim's place on the board as of April 1st. We appreciate her willingness to lend her considerable expertise to our ministry.
